Fancy Free Kit

This week I have been scrapping with a great kit by Green Elephant Designs called Fancy Free.
This first page was made using a template from Kate Designs.
The journaling talks about how I was trying to take some "nice" pictures of the kids but they weren't "cooperating" as I had hoped. When I finally got a "good" picture, I ended up liking these better because they show The Real Story.

This next layout I also used the Fancy Free kit by Green Elephant Designs.
I just love that newspaper alpha with the glitter around it! Super fun!
These pictures were taken under an apple tree that we drive by every day to work. Last week, it looked like it was snowing under the tree with all the blossoms on the ground.

Fishing with Daddy

I made this layout tonight from pictures I took last year of the kids fishing with daddy.

The kit I used is Rustic Grass by Digi Designs by Nicole. (this is a couple months old, but a fun kit!) I wanted to use some colors that I normally don't use. Yellow is definitely one of them.
I made this layout for the recipe challenge at Stuff to Scrap. You are given a "recipe" per say to follow and then you are free to add your own creativity!

Blocked Out Templates by Nibbles Scribbles

I was browsing in the Stuff to Scrap store the other day and came upon these templates by Nibbles Scribbles. You can find them in the store here, or by clicking on the image.

When I saw these templates in the Stuff to Scrap store, they immediately moved to the top of my wish list. Can you imagine how many different layouts could be made using these? Especially since I tend to be a one or two photo layout gal when I digi-scrap.
I think these would get me out of my "comfort zone" so to speak, and really spice up my scrapbook!

Photo class online

I am going to try this class. I have heard so many great things from people who have taken any of Jessica Sprague's classes.

Girlswear

This week I had the privilege to play with another awesome kit from ad77design. She creates such beautiful kits. This week it is a more girly kit, but you will see from one of my layouts, that it can be used for not so girly layouts too.
This week's kit is called Girlswear.

I love this picture of Allyson. I took this picture when we were in Virginia for a family wedding.

This layout is of my niece.

This layout is of my grandpa (my kid's great grandpa) celebrating his birthday.

Here is the preview of the full kit. You can get it at My Life and Scrap.

Speed Scrap # 30 at STS

I participated in a speed scrap this evening at Stuff to Scrap.
The second instruction was to pick 6 photos. That in itself was a challenge for me because when I digiscrap, I tend to only use 1 or 2 photos in a layout. I knew as soon as I got that instruction that I wanted to scrap our Disney on Ice pictures from this past November.

I had a kit in mind to use for the speed scrap, but when I decided on the Disney on Ice pictures, I was hoping that I could find this kit. It is one I downloaded over a year ago because I thought is was cute, and thought that maybe someday I could use it!
The kit is "Mouse in the House" by Britt-ish designs.

A busy scrap weekend!

I did a couple layouts this past weekend and wanted to share.
This page was done using the kit Circle Line by Studio mgl. I love the circle gems!

Another page to share with you... (for now!)
This page was done using the kit Life's Inspiration (a Stuff to Scrap designer collab)
